Ben Curtis Family Foundation
The main goal of The Ben Curtis Family Foundation is to help alleviate childhood hunger. Numerous studies have shown that when children go to school on a full stomach, they are better able to focus on what they are learning. Based on this knowledge, the Foundation developed the Birdie Bags concept, which contains nine meals and six snacks. The bags are designed to go home with students on each of the 10 long weekends throughout the year. The Foundation relies on as many local resources as possible to obtain the food necessary to fill the bags.
Akron Food Bank
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank was formed in 1982 by a group of community leaders who made a commitment to provide emergency food to our neighbors in need. Today, the Foodbank provides food and other essential items to member hunger-relief programs in eight Northeast Ohio counties: Carroll, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne. These member programs operate nearly 500 food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters and other hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods and communities where people need food.

About 1 in 9 people in the world don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water. The goal at charity: water is to ensure that they do. Using simple things that work, like freshwater wells, rainwater catchments and sand filters, this global non-profit is working diligently, smartly and efficiently to provide safe water to the 800 million that desperately need it. Because the organization puts 100% of public donations toward projects, all of the money we’ve donated has been used to build wells in Africa.
Ronald McDonald House
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. The RMHC program provides a "home-away-from-home" for families so they can stay near their hospitalized child at little or no cost. The Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on healing their child; not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. RMHC believes that when a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.
Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center
Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center (TRC) is a Cleveland-area non-profit organization that has provided quality education and therapy-based equine programs for people with disabilities since 1978. Equine therapy involves horse-related activities uniquely designed for people with cognitive, physical, emotional and social disabilities. Students of all ages learn horseback riding skills and basic horse care while receiving many benefits such as: improved balance, mobility, muscle tone, coordination and posture, enhanced independence and increased concentration and self-esteem. Riding therapy has proven to be a highly motivational and enriching therapeutic and educational modality.
