Why would I recommend a DR-HO’S TENS instead of the $20 unit that I normally recommend?

Why is auto modulation so important?
If muscles or nerves are exposed to exactly the same stimulation repetitively, they adapt and the impact of that stimulation is reduced. When you go to a physiotherapist and receive TENS or EMS treatment, they will manually modulate the treatments for you in order to prevent this adaptation. The protocols for research being done with TENS specifically mention the need to modulate treatment. How long do the pads last?

Doesn’t the decompression belt need to be customizable?
The DR-HO’S decompression belt was grandfathered in when the rules changed in 2014. The design of the belt means that you do not need to customize it for each individual patient.
Why are there only two sizes of decompression belt?
We have two sizes: 25 in.–41 in. (Size A)/42 in.–55 in. (Size B). In our experience, patients with a measurement larger than 55 in. do not benefit from our product. By being inflatable and having removable bracing, the decompression belt can be adjusted to individual patient’s needs
Why is the bracing removable?
By making the bracing removable, patients can get the support they need depending on where they are in the recovery process. Early in the recovery process more support is required, so the belt is used with bracing. Later in the recovery process patients would like more flexibility and less restriction, so the bracing can be removed.
